Woofstock Sunrise 2026: A Dog Photographer’s Take on an Amazing Pet-Friendly Event

This past Saturday, I spent the day at Woofstock in Sunrise, Florida, and it was one of those events that reminds you why dog-friendly communities are so special. Hundreds of people showed up with their dogs to enjoy the annual Woofstock event, connect with local pet businesses, and spend a fun day together.

I had a booth there with Mr. Paw Portraits, and it was great meeting so many dog owners, hearing stories about their pups, and seeing how much love people have for their dogs.

A Big Turnout and a Fun Atmosphere

From the start, Woofstock was full of energy. Dogs of all sizes were everywhere—some excited, some relaxed, all enjoying the attention. Between the dog races and contests, there was never a dull moment.

Supporting Local Pet Businesses in Sunrise

One of the best parts of Woofstock was seeing so many local, pet-focused businesses come together in one place. Events like this are a great way for dog owners to discover new services and support businesses in the community.

Vendors at the event included Broward Bark, Sunset Animal Hospital, Startime, and Soap King, among others. It was great seeing so many businesses invested in the local dog community.

Dogs Being Dogs

Some of my favorite moments from the day were the simple ones—dogs sitting patiently, watching the action, or soaking up all the attention. These moments don’t need anything fancy. A dog being themselves is more than enough.

The Bond Between Dogs and Their People

Among all the activity, there were also quieter moments that really stood out—simple interactions between dogs and their owners that show just how strong that bond is.

Woofstock in Sunrise was a great mix of fun, community, and connection. I’m glad I was able to be there, meet so many dog lovers, and capture a few moments from such a memorable day.
