TL;DR: This isn’t just a photoshoot—it’s how you turn your dog into timeless artwork you’ll see every day. We design the look, capture real moments in nature, and create custom pieces for your home. The Signature Experience begins with a $1,500 Session Talent Fee, applied as credit toward your wall art or heirloom folio.
What should I expect at my first professional pet photography session?
The short answer is that you should expect a fun day where your pet is the star! It is not just about "taking pictures." It is a three-step plan: a Custom Design Consultation, a patience-led photoshoot, and an Image Reveal where you pick your favorites. Unlike a quick phone photo, this process turns your pet’s unique personality into museum-grade art that will be the most valuable thing in your house.
The Journey: From Planning to Masterpiece
Step 1: The Vision and Planning
Every great portrait starts with a talk. Before the camera even comes out, we focus on what makes your pet special.
Getting to Know You: We talk about your pet’s personality. Do you want a big "statement piece" for your living room or a thick book for the coffee table?
The Questionnaire: I send you a list of questions so I know exactly which "Grand Slam" shots to aim for.
Choosing Your Spot: You pick the location. It could be the beach, a forest, a lake, or a cool urban city area.

Step 2: The 60-Minute Magic Session
On the day of the shoot, we go outside for about an hour of fun. I have photographed hundreds of dogs, so I know how to get the best shots while they play.
Settling In: We let the dog sniff around and get used to the area first. There is no rush.
Expert Direction: I will be directing the whole time. I help your pet get into the right spots for natural and posed shots.
The "Crazy Dog" Insurance: Don't worry if your dog is not perfectly trained. I use special tricks to catch those perfect looks that show their true soul.
The Ultimate Collection Upgrade
For families who want a lot of different looks, we can do even more. If you want the beach and the forest, we can do 2 or 3 separate sessions at different spots. This is perfect for building a giant art collection where every page of your album is a new adventure.
Step 3: The Reveal and Design
About 7 to 10 days after the shoot, we meet again for the most exciting part: the Image Reveal. This is where you decide how to use your $1,500 Session Talent Fee.
The Signature Collection ($1,500): You can use your fee to get our base collection. This includes 10 beautiful portraits inside a handcrafted Wood Window Folio Box. It has a glass window so you can see your favorite photo even when the box is closed!
The Legacy Upgrade: Most families fall in love with the photos and decide to go bigger. They use their $1,500 as a credit toward Large Wall Art or Heirloom Albums. These collections usually range from $3,000 to $6,000.

See It Before You Buy: We use special software to show you exactly how the art will look on your walls at home before we print it.
Special Delivery: In about three weeks, your museum-grade items will be ready. These are high-quality treasures made to stay in your family for a long time.
Important Things to Know
Patience is Key: We work on "dog time." If your pup needs a break to sniff a tree, that is totally fine.
I Will Help You: You don't need to worry about how to pose. I will tell you exactly what to do to get the best angles.
Nature is Our Studio: We use the beautiful outdoors to make "fine art" instead of boring studio photos.
A Tangible Legacy: At Mr. Paw Portraits, we make "furniture for your soul." You walk away with art you can touch and feel, not just a file on a computer.
Fast Results: Once you pick your favorites, your custom art is ready in just three weeks.
